Scott Currier

I am a self-taught photographer, filmmaker, and technical engineer based in Buffalo, New York, working under the name Voncurr, from Currier.

My professional background is in technical engineering, which brings a methodical and structural approach to my visual work. Photography began simply as a way to document environments. It has since evolved into a disciplined practice of slowing down and paying attention to the geometry, light, and quiet details that hold a scene together.

The resulting archive spans the built environment of the city, the open country, and the night sky. I treat every camera simply as a specific tool for a specific problem.

Alongside still photography, I produce and edit documentary films. The medium changes, but the goal is always the same. Find the visual order and present it cleanly.
